NEWS : Channel Ten in Australia cuts sex scenes from Glee...but only the gay ones

Labels: , ,

Channel Ten in Australia has come under fire for airing the episode of Glee "I Do" and cutting the scenes with Kurt and Blaine and Santana and Quinn. Noteably the straight sex scenes with Rachel and Finn and Betty and Artie were left in the show. Fans hit up their Facebook page to voice their concern at this omission.

The network responded stating that "scenes had to be cut to fit into a PG timeslot" although the straight sex scenes were left in, but the gay ones were out? Sex is sex, regardless of what gender it is between and any sex scene should have an M rating slapped on it. Choosing to omit the gay sex scenes only shows your homophobia and Aussie fans are clearly not happy.

Do you think it was wise to cut these scenes from the aired episode? Is it homophobia? Or is it just political correctness gone too far? Let us know what you think below.
