Showtime Renews Nurse Jackie and Axes The Borgias

Labels: , , , , , , ,

In the same week that Showtime cancels period show The Borgias, it renews popular dramedy Nurse Jackie for a sixth season.

Season 5 of Nurse Jackie is currently airing, with the final on June 16. Showtime network president David Nevins said that they were thrilled with the series progress and "under the leadership of Clyde Phillips... this show is as sharp and compelling as ever."

However The Borgias previous season 3 finale will now act as it's series finale after an announcement was made yesterday. The two-hour wrap up movie that was also planned was scrapped with show creator Neil Jordan telling Deadline it was due to financial reasons. "I would have loved to bring all the characters to a conclusion. All of the actors were heartbroken we couldn’t continue, and so was I.”

Cancellation Canteloupe strikes again!

Labels: , , , ,

It is that time again, the cancellation canteloupe has decided it is time for the bitch in Apartment 23 to depart from ABC's schedule. Let's look the history of the television comedy series which is only in its second season.

The series follows June, as she moves to New York City to pursue her dream job, until she finds out that it no longer exists and she ends up moving in with a con-artist party-girl named Chloe. The two don't get along at first; however, when Chloe's attempts at scamming June backfire, they end up forming an unlikely friendship.

The show debuted on April 11, 2012 as a mid-season replacement during the 2011-12 season. On May 11, 2012, ABC renewed the show for a second season.

Starring Dreama Walker, Kristen Ritter and James Van Der Beek who infamously played himself, the show's first season was a hilarious, laugh-filled romp through New York City with some truly out of this world characters.

When Season 2 debuted it felt like some of the bitchiness and shock value had left the series and all that remained was a pale shadow of the debut season. Viewers plummeted from 6.5 million to a mere 4 and has struggled to keep the same numbers since.

ABC have now pulled the show from the schedule indefinitely and replaced it with a double episode of Happy Endings.

What is the future of Don't Trust The B In Apartment 23...we will update you when we know more!

Uh oh! It's back! Our favourite little friend is swinging his axe near The CW! This time looking at Emily Owens M.D. The medical dramaedy has failed to find an audience, and the network has decided to cancel it.

The CW have confirmed that they will show all 13 episodes (that's another 7!) and then the show will be over. For those who haven't seen the show, it is like a girl version of Grey's Anatomy.

The Cancellation Cantaloupe Strikes Again!

Twice in one week! This cantaloupe just won't give up! This time firing aim at CBS and the extremely unfunny gay sitcom Partners.

The failed sitcom was from Max Mutchnick, the creators of Will & Grace, but unlike that show this one was far from funny.

The show has been pulled immediately from CBS schedule (something that is VERY uncommon) Check out the crap fest below
